Greetings from the Secretary – ASAMI India
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every member of the ASAMI India family for placing their trust in me and giving me the honour to serve this esteemed organisation as the Honorary Secretary.
ASAMI India stands on the strong foundation laid by our visionary founding fathers, who worked with immense dedication to create an organisation rooted in academic excellence and innovation. Their successors, with equal passion and perseverance, have upheld and strengthened this proud legacy. It is through the relentless efforts of our predecessors and the continued support of our vibrant member community that ASAMI India has grown into the distinguished institution it is today.
Effective communication is the cornerstone of any successful organisation. To enhance our engagement with members and connect with orthopaedic surgeons across India and abroad, we have developed multiple digital platforms—our official website, Facebook page, Twitter account, and the ASAMI India YouTube channel. These platforms will serve as dynamic tools to share knowledge, updates, and opportunities, further strengthening our collective voice and visibility.
I consider myself fortunate to be working alongside a team of young and dynamic state representatives, as well as highly experienced ASAMI India faculty members, whose passion and expertise continue to fuel the growth of our organisation. It is truly a privilege to serve under the visionary leadership of our President, Dr. Jayant Sharma. With his guidance, the wisdom of our respected past presidents and secretaries, and the unwavering support of our Executive and Working Committee, I am confident that we will strengthen our membership, fulfil our objectives, and propel ASAMI India to greater heights.
One of my key areas of focus will be to cultivate a culture of recognition and appreciation—ensuring that the outstanding contributions of our members are acknowledged and celebrated. I will strive to create more avenues for our members to represent ASAMI India on prestigious national and international platforms, thereby elevating our association’s presence and impact globally.
