Our Name
The ASAMI India (Association of Study and Application of Methodology of Ilizarov) is a professional, scientific organisation dedicated to advancing the field of orthopaedic surgery, particularly in the areas of limb lengthening, deformity correction, and reconstruction using Ilizarov technology.
Our Nature
ASAMI India is a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit organisation. It is committed to fostering the study and practice of orthopaedic surgery while promoting cooperation, knowledge sharing, and professional fellowship among orthopaedic surgeons both nationally and internationally.
Our Office and Scope
- Registered Office: The registered office of ASAMI India is located at Fracture and Orthopaedic Hospital, Station Road, Miraj, Maharashtra 416410. This will serve as the permanent address until any further amendments are made.
- Correspondence Address: All correspondence will be directed to the current address of the President or Secretary, as decided by the Executive Committee.

Our Aims and Objectives
ASAMI India strives to achieve the following goals:
- Advancement of Orthopaedic Surgery: We aim to advance the study and practice of orthopaedic surgery, focusing on limb lengthening, deformity correction, and reconstruction using Ilizarov technology and principles.
- Promotion of Professional Fellowship: We foster professional fellowship and cooperation among orthopaedic surgeons at both national and international levels, encouraging an exchange of views and knowledge.

- Rules and Regulations: ASAMI India has established by-laws, rules, and regulations to guide the operations of the association. These can be amended as necessary with the approval of the Executive Committee.
- Executive Committee and Advisory Board: The Executive Committee (comprising the President, Vice-President, Secretary General, and Treasurer, Joint Secretaries, Editor, Joint Editor, Executive Members(5)) manages the affairs of the association. The Advisory Board, consisting of past Presidents and Secretaries, serves as a guiding body.
- Other Initiatives: We are committed to undertaking activities and initiatives that are essential or conducive to achieving the association’s goals.
